Come To The Light

John 3:21 New King James Version (NKJV)

21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

Ask In Faith Without Doubting

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

The Lord Does Not Want Any To perish But That All Should Come To Repentance

9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us,[a] not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Did You Know That Believers Are Called To Be Alert And To Resist The Devil?

Verse of the Day - 1 Peter 5:8-9 (NKJV) - June 27, 2017 - Day 178

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because[a] your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

Meditate On These Today

Leviticus 19:18 New King James Version (NKJV)

18 You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

1 John 2:1-2 New King James Version (NKJV)

1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

How To Stop Doing The Things You Do Not Want To Do

Verse of the Day Galatians 5:16-17 (NKJV) - June 25, 2017 - Day 176

Walking in the Spirit

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

How Tell If You Are Really A Saint

Verse of the Day - Ephesians 5:3 (NKJV) - June 24, 2017 - Day 175

3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;

© Roger Coles

Ephesians 5:3 Amplified Bible (AMP)

3 But sexual immorality and all [moral] impurity [indecent, offensive behavior] or greed must not even be hinted at among you, as is proper among saints [for as believers our way of life, whether in public or in private, reflects the validity of our faith].

Ephesians 5:3-4 The Message (MSG)

3-4 Don’t allow love to turn into lust, setting off a downhill slide into sexual promiscuity, filthy practices, or bullying greed. Though some tongues just love the taste of gossip, those who follow Jesus have better uses for language than that. Don’t talk dirty or silly. That kind of talk doesn’t fit our style. Thanksgiving is our dialect.

They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

How To Love Your Enemies

Verse of the Day - Luke 6:35-36(NKJV) - June 22, 2017 - Day 173

35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

The following is an Email from my good friend Dave and my reply to Dave:

Hi Brother Chet,

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us and to send us the YouTube video of Perry Stone's program called "The Mystery of the Hedge."  We also appreciate your explaining the parallel between Perry Stone's message and yesterday's reading in Jonathan Cahn's "The Book of Mysteries," which you so graciously provided to us recently.  (see )

Your thoughts about how God has been working in your life are a blessing to us.  It's so important for all of us to take the time to thank God every day for all of the little "Happy's" that He sends our way.  Our God is always in the details and this is one of the many ways that He shows His love to us.

"Thank you Brother,

I have another interesting thing to tell you about.  I have heard that my name “Chet” is a Hebrew work that means tent wall.  I never that of myself as being a tent wall.  This morning’s devotional reading is from Jonathan Cahn's, THE BOOK OF MYSTERIES, Day 172,  “The Prophecy Name”.

After reading "The Prophecy Name" I thought surely the Lord didn’t call me to be a tent wall so I did a Google search and I discovered that “Chet” is the eighth letter of the Hebrew alphabet.  The symbol looks like a wall for a fence.  According to the Mystery of Chet “Chet" is the letter for life and living.  Chet (8) is also the number of grace and wisdom.  There is more, but I don’t think I should bore with too much detail at this time.  Please click on the following link for a better explanation

Perhaps you may want to search for your name in Hebrew and find out your “Prophecy Name” too.

God Bless,

An Interesting Parallel About the Serpent and The Hedge

I have noticed the Lord is constantly showing Himself in more than one way at a time.  Some people may say that it is pure coincidence, but I do not believe it is a coincidence because it happens way to often.

Today I watched a program on TV that was recorded last night, but I didn’t get a chance to watch it until this morning.  The recording was Perry Stone and the program was titled "The Mystery of the Hedge”.  The following is the YouTube version of the program that was recorded on TBN and I watched this morning: - The teaching is about the hedge of protection that surrounded Job.

The parallel that I am referring to is yesterday’s reading from Jonathan Cahn's THE BOOK OF MYSTERIES is Day 169 and is titled “The Serpent and The Hedge”.  The two teachings are totally different, but yet they run parallel.  It’s like the Lord is confirming Himself to me in often and especially in two different and distinct ways.  Every time I notice this the hair stands up on the back of my neck and I get very excited.  He does this all the time.  Not because I am anything special, but because once I started noticing these little things He does, He does them all the more.

When I first started noticing Him doing these things was very little and seemingly insignificant things at first.  When I caught what He was doing I realized that He was blessing me with little “Happy’s” as a loving father would do his child.  I remember thinking to myself one day that I sure would love to hear an old gospel music album that I once had many years ago.  I went to LifeWay and other music stores trying to purchase the album, but it was not available through any resources.  A strange thing happened - somehow I came in contact with the daughter of the album's lead singer and she had just recently decided to place her father’s album on CD.  Regardless to say I purchased the CD and have enjoyed the wonderful blessings of hearing the album again.  The Lord made the impossible possible.

He’s done these little things  in so many different ways I wish I written them all down because I cannot remember them all.  It is as if He is playing a game with me.  I think He gets a kick out of doing these little things to see if I will notice.  When I do notice I can just see Him smiling because it brings Him such joy to bless me with these little "Happy’s”.

All I can say is, “Bless you Lord because you are so awesome!”

I didn’t know I was going to share all of this today, but once I started typing it just flowed like a river.  I pray that the two parallels will be a blessing to you and that you will too thank the Lord for the little “Happy’s” He sends your way.  Whenever you notice these little "Happy's" bless Him by giving Him thanks.  The more you bless Him the more He blesses you.

Verse of the Day - Ephesians 4:1-3 (NKJV) - June 19, 2017 - Day 170

Walk in Unity

4 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

What Do You Think? Does This Mean Give Money To Get Money?

Verse of the Day - Luke 6:38 New King James Version - June 16,2017 - Day 167

38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

What Do You Think? Does This Mean Give Money To Get Money?

Most people think it means money, but this scripture is not promoting a "Give To Get" or a "Get Rich Quick doctrine.  The scripture is talking about two things:
  1. Is not stated in the verse, but it is referring to the blessings that the Lord has already given us and it's much more than money.  The Lord has blessed us exceedingly and abundantly, but our job is to open our hearts and receive the blessings He has provided.  We do not have to work to receive His blessings as He has already provided.  We must learn to receive what He has already given.
  2. The Lord expects us to share the blessings He has given us.  Once we have learned to receive His blessing then can we share His blessing with others.  We cannot try to hoard His blessings as we cannot hold on to them.  They were given to us to give away just as He gave to us.  Our mission is to give to others, and not just money, but every blessing He has blessed us with.

The more we release those blessing the Lord has given us the more He can blesses us.  The truth is we cannot out give Him.  This is the secret of how we fulfill the two greatest commandments.

Matthew 22:34-40New King James Version (NKJV)

The Scribes: Which Is the First Commandment of All?

34 But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”

37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’[d] 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’[e] 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

The Way We Live Our Lives Is Always Before The Eyes Of The Lord And He Thinks About The Paths We Take

Most people do not like to think about the Lord seeing everything about us because we feel we have not lived up to God's standards.  Although it is true we have often failed our heavenly Father is not focusing His attention on our failures.  I'm afraid that the preaching from the pulpit has cause people to fear Him with the wrong kind of fear.  The fear the scriptures talk about is honor and respect.  We honor and respect our earthly fathers, but He deserves more honor and respect than any person as He is our creator and our God.  He does not want you to be afraid of Him rather He wants you to run to Him as a little child when you fail Him.

The Lord is not watching over you with a critical eye, but rather a loving eye as shown in the illustration above.  He watches over our direction and He sees when we get off the path, but He does not criticize us or send punishment because we are like little children that need a constant and watchful eye to protect us from danger.

Notice in the illustration above the eye is looking with a heart of love.  He watches over us with His loving eyes as He is a caring and loving Father would watch over His own children.

The Mission:  Relax and do not be afraid.  Come to Him as a little child and imaging yourself crawling up into His lap.  Imaging Him wrapping His arms around you and pulling you close to His heart.  Can you imagine Him kissing you on the forehead and hearing Him saying to you, "I love you!", 'Don't worry, everything will be all right!"

Get Out And Come Out From Among Them

Verse of the Day - Isaiah 29:13 - June 6, 2017 - Day 157

Isaiah 29:13 New King James Version (NKJV)

13 Therefore the Lord said:

“Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths
And honor Me with their lips,
But have removed their hearts far from Me,
And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men,

These words are very strong words and probably ruffle the feathers of some denominational church people. Unfortunately many church denominations have doctrines of religion, or ruligion, as I call it.   Religion is based on a set of rules of do's and don'ts or man made rules.  Religion is a method of controlling the minds of their congregation in a systematical way of telling their people what the can believe or not believe.  They accept some scriptures in their doctrine, sermons and teachings, but other scriptures are denied because they do not agree with their denominational beliefs.

(Oh, before I forget I want to stop here and make mention to you that there is an IRS regulation titled 501c3 that controls your churches.  Churches are required to follow these government man-made rules and if they do not follow it to the letter they can lose their 501c3 status.  So what?  Ask your pastor if this regulation restrains what can be preached from the pulpit.   Ask your pastor or better yet ask your accountant why the church is so afraid of this IRS regulation.)

Did you know that these so called mainstream denominations hide the fact that they do not believe or accept certain scriptures from their congregation.  They do not want the congregation to know because if they found out there would be, or should be, a mass exodus from these kinds of churches.  They don't want you to find out because they need your money to pay for their pet projects.

Now don't get me wrong as I go to church and pay my ties, but I attend a Bible believing non-denomination church.  Some people say that my blog post come across a bit strong because they do not hear the kinds of things I say in their church.  Some may even feel my words are offensive because they have never heard the things I say.  I assure you the words I say are not intended to offend, but rather to make you aware of manipulations and mind control in some churches.

So what is the answer?  Don't take you pastor's word or his interpretations of scripture as gospel.  Search the scriptures yourself.  Get to know the Lord your God and have a personal relationship with Him.  When you find a passage of scripture you do not understand go to one of your pastors and get his take on the passage.  If he refuses to discuss a particular passage or says something like, "Oh, the gifts of the spirit died out with the Apostles and is not relevant with the church today."  Well if he says that then you know it's time to leave.  As God said to Abram (later known a Abraham) "Get out . . . " and "Come out from among them and be separate says the Lord . . . "   I really don't like to quote scripture out of context so here are the links for the full chapter of each example: Genesis 12 and 2 Corinthians 6.

What are some things denominations deny?  Number 1. is the gifts of the Spirit because they say these gifts died out with the Apostles and, as I said earlier, is no longer relevant for us today.  I find it very interested that their doctrine does not believe in healing but yet they believe in prayer for healing.  How can that be?  Well, I believe the reason they deny the gifts is because they do not believe man should be able to use these gifts.  Why?  Because they think men should not have this power so they prefer to deny it's existence.  Unfortunately they are only looking at man's ability.  You see they are misguided in their thinking that man can do this at his own will.  No, it is the Holy Spirit that is doing the healing at the Father's will.  Man is only the vessel or tool the Holy Spirit uses in ministering healing and all the other gifts.  Man cannot conjure up the gifts of the Spirit on his own or whenever he feels like it.  It is the power of the Holy Spirit to direct the gifts when He decide and to whom He choses.

Mission today:  Relax and let the Holy Spirit guide you into all truth.  Let Him guide you to someone that needs a word from the Lord.  Let Him guild you to someone that needs healing  and pray for that person.  Relax and let the Holy Spirit do the healing by His power not yours.  We are often times afraid to pray for others because we do not believe we have the power.  You are right you do not have the power, but the one who resides in you, the Holy Spirit, does have the power.  Let Him have His way, let Him guide you of the things He wants you to do and say.  This is my prayer for you, In Jesus Name Amen.

You Shall Love Your God

Verse of the Day - Matthew 22:37-38 - June 5, 2017 - Day 156

Matthew 22:37-38 New King James Version (NKJV)

37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and great commandment.

The First Commandment

My readings from my daily devotional today is day 156 form Jonathan Cahn's book THE BOOK OF MYSTRIES titled BARUCH ATAH.  If you do not have this book already I highly recommend it to you.

Baruch Atah is about Hebrew blessing.  The reason I'm bringing this up today is because the blessing is so fitting with the First Great Commandment.  Here is what I believe is the key to how we are the love our God with all our hearts, with all our souls (spirits), and will minds:

The following is a portion from BARUCH ATAH - " . . . The focus and the beginning of the Hebrew blessing is the word Atah, You.  The blessing is not me-centered, but Atah-centered.  So a life of blessing is an Atah-centered life.  If you want to live a blessed life, you must follow the pattern of the Hebrew blessing.  Live an Atah-centered life.  Make your heart an Atah-centered heart.  Let go of yourself.  Put Him first, His will first.  His desires first, and His glory first.  And to live and Atah-centered life, you must focus on the other atlas, on every other you in your life, putting them above yourself as well . . . It is a life of love that is the life of blessing.  'Love the Lord your God . . . and love your neighbor as yourself.'" . . ."

The Mission: Set your heart today on two words: baruch and aaah.  Purpose to be a blessing.  Live not for the self but for the Atah, the "You."

You Shall Receive Power When The Holy Spirit Has Come Upon You

Image provided by YouVersion

Verse of the Day - Acts 1:8 - June 4, 2017 - Day 155

Acts 1:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

What power do you think the Holy Spirit gives us?  Based on the second half of this verse I believe He, the Holy Spirit, gives us the power and the ability to speak as a witnesses, to those we come in contact with, about the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The believer's job is to allow the Holy Spirit speak through us as we witness Jesus every chance we get.  The Holy Spirit will speak words through you that you have never even thought of before.  Let the Holy Spirit speak through you and you will see His power at work in the lives we witness to.
