Who was Jesus taking to when He said, " . . . you who practice lawlessness!"

Matthew 7:22-24New King James Version (NKJV)

"22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’"
Who do you think Jesus was talking to?  I think He was talking to a group of religious people that were using His name to prophesy, cast out demons and to do wonders for their own benefit.  They were not follower's of Jesus, but rather people that Satan was able to use to counterfeit what Jesus was doing.  They were preachers of a different gospel than what Jesus preached.  There are preachers, pastors, teachers, priests, and any other clergy that preach a false gospel.  These are the people that Jesus will one day declare to them, "Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"
Lawless or lawlessness has to do with the practice of willful and habitual sin.  To better understand the explanation of the terms Lawless or Lawlessness I recommend that you read all the verses on this topic as well as the full chapters on each verse:

Everybody Thinks I'm Crazy - This is from my post on FaceBook today

I am very concerned for the people I know that have not taken Jesus serious. I've said this before and I will say it again; the worst thing that could happen to us is to stand before Jesus and here Him say, "Depart from me I never knew you!" Some people believe there is more than on way to heaven. I am here to tell you that Jesus is the only way. If you do not have an intimate relationship with Him He does not know you and you will never see heaven.

If you do not know Him now it is time for you to take Him serious because we do not know when we will be called to give an account for the way we lived our lives. Today is the day for you to call on Him and ask Him to save you.

The following is an edited version of my post dated November 18, 2015 on FaceBook

Almost everyone I talk to, these days, believe some big event is about to happen. Many of those that are Christians believe we are living in the last days, that Jesus spoke of, because of the signs of the time. Non-believers believe something horrible is about to happen like earthquakes or war. Some are looking forward to the future as the signs point to Jesus' coming to get His Bride and others are afraid of what is going to happen.

I asked one lady, that I used to work with, if she were going to heaven and she said, "I hope I'm good enough!" She went away sad as she was unsure of whether she was qualified to make it into heaven. She was trying to be good enough through her own efforts. Our efforts are never good enough and it's only Jesus finished work on the cross to saves us. We cannot save ourselves. Jesus is the only way.

Another lady, a fellow-coworker, overheard my conversation with different co-worker as we were talking about God being a jealous God and we were also talking about hell. She angrily jumped in our conversation shouting to us that God does not does not have human emotions and there is not such thing as hell. She went on to say that God would never send a person to hell. (This person follows the ideology that there are many ways one can get to heaven.) She was so angry she complained to our manager in an effort to stop us from sharing the scriptures with one another.

Why did I tell you this story? This lady took a stand for what she believed even though she was wrong. How can we as believers continue to be silent while fools (those that have been tricked into believing a lie) are going to hell?

Tip of the Day - The Following is from an article I posted this on FaceBook November 24, 2015

Tip of the day - spend more time in God's Word and you will hear Him speak to your heart. Our minds need to be renewed daily by feeding on HIs Words and not on the cares of the world.
Turn off CNN and Fox News as these news channels feed the unsuspecting viewer fear and terror or "Care of this World." This is the "Cares of the World" Jesus tells about in Matthew 21…
Sow the word in your heart and bear fruit for the kingdom.
