Come To Me

The above pictures of give me much peace and comfort that I just had to share with you.  I love the fact that I can go to Him whenever the care of this world get to heavy for me to handle.  He's always there for me with open hands and out stretched arms welcoming me to come to Him.

Come To Me - Matthew 11:27-29 NKJV

27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Casting All Your Cares upon Him - I Peter 5:6-8 NKJV
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Peter says, "He cares for you", and He does!  He is always waiting for you to come to Him, but He will not force His way on you.  He invites you to come to Him and He will come into your heart and give you the peace that surpasses all understanding.  What a joy it is to know Him as my Lord and savior.  I pray that if you do not know Him now you will ask Him to come into your life.  Please feel free to send me an e-mail if you have any questions.

Worship - You Were Designed For Worship

Brentwood Baptist Church, Brentwood, TN
Lift Up Holy Hands In Worship

Did you know your body was designed for  worship?  Can you imagine that in heaven we will be the worshiping our Heavenly Father all the time?  Actually there is no time in heaven, no day and no night.  The good news is there is, right now, continual worship in heaven and you will never get tired of worshiping Him.  Your arms will never get tired and you will never have to lower your arms, you will not want to.

Did you know the secret to success in this life, today, is your worship of God on earth, right now, just as it is in heaven?  Your continual praise and worship is vehicle that brings the miracles on earth just as it is in heaven.

Satan was originally known as Lucifer and before he sinned against the Father he was the worship leader in heaven.  His angelic body is designed with musical worship instruments for praise and worship.  Our bodies are also designed with musical worship instruments, i.e., strings (vocal cords) and percussion (hands that clap).  Our hands have palms that were designed to be lifted and waved toward God as an expression of worship.  Our voice is designed for continual words of praise and worship to the Father for all He has done, is doing, and ever will do.

In some church services the people do not want to lift their hands in worship because they feel like the people that do that just want to be noticed.   Well, I'm here to tell you Satan does not want you to worship in church.  He seems to be okay with our singing, but he has a problem with the believers expressing worship and praise through the lifting of our hands.

In my younger days I use to jog every morning.  I always went to the track, or park, before daylight because I wanted to do my jogging when very few people were around.  I did this because as I ran I prayed out loud and I lifted my hands towards heaven as I ran.  I remember how the Lord blessed me during those days and I saw answers to prayers and miracles that I believe was as a result of praise and worship.

During church worship services I too felt uncomfortable lifting my hands in praise and worship.  After I realized that by my lifting my hands and glorifying God during worship my attitude changed and I did not care if anyone was looking at me or even if they approved of my expression of worship.  I think perhaps the devil would have us feel too ashamed to worship.  I have decided that I am not ashamed to worship because God is so worthy of my worship for all the great things He has done in my life.

Lift Up Holy Hands In Prayer

We all want to be a success in life, right!  I believe I have discovered the secret.  I mentioned praise and worship and the other key factor is prayer.  When we pray we are to "lift up holy hands" as found in 1 Timothy 2.  There is power for the believer in the lifting of our hands to God.

Jesus Loves For Us to Come To Him

I enjoy sharing Jesus art with you especially when the art has such a powerful message.  I know Jesus loves all little children, but He also loves adults too.  Jesus wants you to be near Him at all times and as you are near Him your heart will be as little child.  The cares of the world will fade away as you experience the peace that surpasses all understanding.  Philippians 4:7

Joy Flows Wherever Jesus Is Welcome

Jesus was not always welcome everywhere He went during His earthly ministry.  Jesus will not force Himself on anyone, but whomever welcomes Him into their life He will come in.

When He comes in to visit with you He does not condemn, but rather give His peace and His joy in our hearts.  Our hearts are changed through His love.

Welcome Jesus into your life and He will give you true riches which is joy and peace in our hearts beyond our understanding.

Verse of the day:

"16 Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; 17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men."  Romans 14:16-18 NKJV

Jesus Loves Me

Remember the cliche "A picture does paint a thousand words" - I think this picture of Jesus embracing a child says even more than a thousand words for the believer in Christ.

The child represents each one of us as believers.  Jesus loves us and wants to embrace and comfort us during those times we feel alone or afraid.

Jesus welcome us to come to Him as a little child and cast all our cares on Him, 1 Peter 5:7, and He will give you rest.
