I knew You Before I Formed You In Your Mother's Womb

Verse of the Day - Jeremiah 1:5 - May 28, 2018 - Day 148

Don't you love this phrase? I find it so exciting that the Lord knew me before He formed me in my Mother's womb.  I know this phrase is taken out of context, but it proves point that the Lord knows us before we became a new life within our Mother's body.

Each and every one of us were placed in our Mother's womb for a specific plan in God's will.  I find it so exciting to know that He sent me here for a reason, a purpose that pleases Him.

Give your Heavenly Father thanks and praise because He knows every detail about you.  Let Him show you His will and purpose for you today!

How To Be An Overcomer

Verse of the Day - Revelation 12:11 - May 27, 2017 - Day 147

Today's Verse of the Day was inspired by today's reading of "THE MYSTERY OF THE YEHUDIM" day 147 in Jonathan Cahn's book THE BOOK OF MYSTERIES.  I have asked the Lord to reveal to me what the words overcame, overcome, and to be an overcomer means.  I guess I was a little thick headed as I just couldn't get a grasp on what it means to be an overcomer.  "Overcame what?", I asked myself.

The word overcame is mentioned in the scriptures 3-times

The word overcome is mentioned 31-times, 6-times in the Old Testament and 25-times in the New Testament

Jesus overcame the world is mentioned 6-times in the New Testament

I understand that Jesus overcame the world, but how am I to overcome the world?  The Lord finally revealed it to me when I read "THE MYSTERY OF THE YEHUDIM" today.  The following is an excerpt from the lesson:

"He never succumbed to the evil but overcame the evil with good.  He blessed those who cursed Him and even gave His life to save His enemies.  . . . And those that follow Him must do likewise.  You must never be overcome by the darkness or let it stop you from giving praise, nor let evil stop you from blessing.  You must give thanks in all things and give praise at all times.  You must bless in the face of cursing.  You must make your life a praise no matter what.  For He who is King of the Yehudim (Jews) is your King, then you too must, in some way, be the Yehudim (Jewish).  One whose very existence is a praise to God."

Thank you Lord for answering my prayers and showing my how I to can over come the world.

Good Fruit

Today's Verse of the Day is brought to you by my Pastor, Allen Jackson. Please also watch the video as I know you will blessed and encouraged.

Watch this Week's Sermon from Pastor Allen ►

Good Fruit

Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV®)

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

This passage begins by listing nine separate expressions of the Spirit of God that will be made evident in our character when we choose to cooperate with Him. The next statement is truly astounding: “Against such things there is no law.” When you and I choose to cooperate with the Spirit of God, to allow the fruit of the Spirit to emerge in our character, there is no law—no physical law, no spiritual law—that supersedes those things. We are not by nature gentle, patient, self-controlled, faithful, good, kind folk. The greatest demonstration of the power of God on your behalf or mine is to see the fruit of the Spirit emerge within us.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I desire to see the fruit of Your Spirit in my life. Thank You that Your power to accomplish Your plans and purposes for my life supersedes every other power in the earth. Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts and my words and my behavior as I seek to live in a way that demonstrates Your work in me. May Your fruits be evident so that the world would see them and marvel at Your power in those who call themselves followers of Jesus. In His name I pray, amen.

Blessings,
Pastor Allen

How Do We Honor God With Our Body?

Image provided by Bible.com

Verse of the Day - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - May 21, 2017 - Day 141

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 New King James Version (NKJV)

19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body[a] and in your spirit, which are God’s.

So how do we honor God with our body?  I believe we honor God by following His example.  He made the ultimate sacrifice for us to that we may have life and have it more abundantly.  We therefore are go sacrifice our lives, our bodies, by giving everything about our lives back to Him.  He gave us this body we live in and He gave us the Holy Spirit that dwells in us.

We honor God by the life we live and in the way we take care of His Temple.  The believer's body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit.  Our mission today is to focus our life on Him.  To make His purposes most important in everything we do and say.

Here are some additional scriptures I want to share with you today:

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 New King James Version (NKJV)

Striving for a Crown

24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

Colossians 3:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

As for a our body goes I believe we should make our body "Fit for the Master's Service" by taking proper care of our body.  Do not wait until it is to late to make the lifestyle changes you need to present your body to God as a living sacrifice.

Heavenly Verses Demonic Wisdom

Verse of the Day - James 3:17-18 - May 19, 2017 - Day 139

James 3:17-18 New King James Version (NKJV)

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Sometimes the Verse of the Day does not complete the whole picture of what the writer is saying.  As you know I love pictures as they create within you a thought and inspiration.  This is the reason I love to mix photo images with scriptures.

Below I have included the entire chapter 3 of James and I would like for you to read the entire chapter so that you can visualize and understand the full context of the message that James is delivering to you today:

James 3 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Untamable Tongue

3 My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. 2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. 3 Indeed,[a] we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. 4 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.

See how great a forest a little fire kindles! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. 7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. 8 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. 11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.[b]

Heavenly Versus Demonic Wisdom

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Can You Imagine How It Will Feel For The Lord To Rejoice Over You With Singing?

Image provided by Bible.com

Verse of the Day - Zephaniah 3:17 - May 16, 2017 - Day 136

Zephaniah 3:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

17 The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”

February 23, 2017 my post was titled "He Shouts Joy Over You" about this same scripture verse.  This verse is very exciting to me because I can only imagine how wonderful it will be when the Church is gathered in His presence as He sings and shouts over each and every one of us.

We, the Church will be singing, praising and worshiping our Lord Jesus, but He will also sing and shout praises over us at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.  I cannot wait, can you!  It makes me want to jump for joy.

Who Can Find A Virtuous Wife?

Image provided by DreamsTime.com

Verse of the Day - Proverbs 31:10, 27-28 - May 12, 2017 - Day 132

[ The Virtuous Wife ] Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her:

Proverbs 31:10, 27-28 NKJV

Image provided by DreamsTime.com

I love the way The Message explains in simple and easy to understand terms:

Proverbs 31:10-31The Message (MSG)

Hymn to a Good Wife

10-31 A good woman is hard to find,
and worth far more than diamonds.
Her husband trusts her without reserve,
and never has reason to regret it.
Never spiteful, she treats him generously
all her life long.
She shops around for the best yarns and cottons,
and enjoys knitting and sewing.
She’s like a trading ship that sails to faraway places
and brings back exotic surprises.
She’s up before dawn, preparing breakfast
for her family and organizing her day.
She looks over a field and buys it,
then, with money she’s put aside, plants a garden.
First thing in the morning, she dresses for work,
rolls up her sleeves, eager to get started.
She senses the worth of her work,
is in no hurry to call it quits for the day.
She’s skilled in the crafts of home and hearth,
diligent in homemaking.
She’s quick to assist anyone in need,
reaches out to help the poor.
She doesn’t worry about her family when it snows;
their winter clothes are all mended and ready to wear.
She makes her own clothing,
and dresses in colorful linens and silks.
Her husband is greatly respected
when he deliberates with the city fathers.
She designs gowns and sells them,
brings the sweaters she knits to the dress shops.
Her clothes are well-made and elegant,
and she always faces tomorrow with a smile.
When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say,
and she always says it kindly.
She keeps an eye on everyone in her household,
and keeps them all busy and productive.
Her children respect and bless her;
her husband joins in with words of praise:
“Many women have done wonderful things,
but you’ve outclassed them all!”
Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades.
The woman to be admired and praised
is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God.
Give her everything she deserves!
Festoon her life with praises!

The only thing I would add to the above description of the virtuous woman is she takes good care of herself.  That's the reason I added the second photo showing the woman exercising.

From now on I’m alert day and night to the prayers offered at this place. Believe me, I’ve chosen and sanctified this Temple that you have built: My Name is stamped on it forever; my eyes are on it and my heart in it always.
